Colonel Reef Reduced to Ashes After Major Fire in Batroun

A devastating fire broke out at dawn on Thursday, tearing through Colonel Reef, one of Batroun’s most beloved seaside destinations. The blaze rapidly spread across the wooden structure, leaving the restaurant and brewery completely destroyed.

Lebanese Civil Defense teams rushed to the scene and managed to contain the fire before it reached nearby venues. While no injuries were reported, the damage was total. The cause of the fire remains unknown and is still under investigation.

Located along the coast near the National Institute of Marine Sciences, Colonel Reef had long been a staple of Batroun’s summer scene. Over the years, it became a go-to spot for seaside gatherings, making its loss a heavy blow to all who love spending their summers at the Batroun seafront.

Despite the damage, we hope that Colonel Reef will bounce back after the fire. The team is determined to bring it back to life. Make sure to follow their Instagram for updates, and browse the #News section on our website for more.
