Souk El Tayeb Just Opened a Dog Park! Here Are the Details

Souk El Tayeb’s new location is combining all the things we love about Beirut: shopping local at the souk, enjoying bites made with fresh seasonal produce at their café, and now bringing your four-legged friend along for the day.

The souk just opened a dedicated dog park in collaboration with the Gaïa Fodoulian Association, so here’s everything you need to know about their new space.

Located right within the Souk El Tayeb grounds, the new park is open every Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 4 PM. Whether you’re there for the weekly market or a Sunday stroll, your dog now has a designated spot to socialize and get all the belly rubs they deserve.

They’ve also partnered with Fady Khoury to offer professional dog training services on-site.

The Dog Park Rules & Regulations 🐾

To keep the space safe, clean, and fun for the whole community, all visitors are asked to follow these guidelines:

– Always keep your dog on a leash until you are safely inside the park. This helps prevent incidents and ensures you have full control before the socializing begins.

– Always pick up after your dog. Bring your own poop bags and dispose of them in the designated trash cans provided.

– Keep an eye on your dog’s mood. If they seem overwhelmed, stressed, or aggressive in a large group, please remove them from the situation for a breather.

– Don’t let your dog harass or bully others. This includes “stealing” toys or bones. If another dog gets aggressive toward yours, give them space and move away.

– Food can trigger aggression in even the friendliest dogs. Keep all snacks and treats outside the park area and dispose of any leftovers properly.

– You are responsible for your dog’s behavior. If they are overly excited or a danger to others, they must leave the park until they’ve had further training.

– Accidents happen. Have a basic first aid kit handy for you and your pet, and keep the number of the nearest vet saved in your phone.

– The park is a high-energy zone for dogs. It is best to avoid bringing young children inside; if they must be there, they require strict and constant supervision.
