We love seeing local spots stepping in to support the displaced in their own way. Eddy’s Hospitality Group, most known for their beloved street food spots Eddy’s Street Food, Eddy’s Boneless, and Saj Nation, is distributing over 10,000 freshly made kaake to displaced families in Beirut.
Known for their iconic kaake trabolsiye, their team decided to bring it directly to displaced families at shelters. The goal is to offer a sense of normalcy and let children and families enjoy small pleasures they remember from before the war.
They set up trucks at displacement shelters in Beirut, brought their mascot, and prepared fun activities as their chefs made fresh kaak for everyone to enjoy.
So far, Eddy’s has visited three schools hosting displaced families. These include Al Madrasa Al Mokhtalata Al Rasmiya in Furn El Chebbek, Rasmiye School in Ras El Nabeh, and Emilie Sersok School in El Madina El Riyadiyeh.
Over the coming days, Eddy’s plans to visit more shelters, ensuring that every stop delivers both meals and moments of joy.
Make sure to follow them on Instagram to stay updated on their relief efforts.
