Kanye West Samples Fairuz in Latest Track “All the Love”

American rapper and producer Kanye West’s long-awaited 12th studio album Bully dropped over the weekend, and it looks like Jarat Al Qamar has inspired yet another foreign artist.

When Drake was teasing his album ICEMAN back in 2025, fans were quick to notice the familiar tune to Fairuz’s song Wahdon. You can read all about that here, but let’s talk about Kanye West’s take this time.

In collaboration with producer André Troutman, the sample appears at the beginning and throughout the track, blending Fairuz’s angelic vocals with West’s experimental soundscape. It looks like Ye tapped into her iconic Fayek Alaya (1963), a beautiful melody composed by Assi and Mansour Rahbani for the musical El Leil wal Kandeel (The Night and the Lantern).

A classic of Lebanese musical heritage, the song reflects themes of childhood friendship, innocence, and shared memories. Like much of the Rahbani-Fairuz repertoire, it blends lyrical storytelling with deeply emotional melodies, evoking a sense of longing.

We think Fairuz might be one of the most sampled Arab artists. Her track record now includes Ye, Drake, Macklemore, and Madonna.
