For fourteen years, Luna Motel in Naqoura has been a beloved Southern gem: a family-run seaside retreat known for its warmth, charm, and distinctly Lebanese welcome. Today, it lies largely destroyed by enemy airstrikes.
Following its devastation, its owner Dr. Mohammad Hashem vowed a stronger comeback. He wrote: “We are the people of this land, and we are the ones who will guard it, rebuild it, and protect it. All this destruction and devastation will never kill our determination, our will, or our love of life.”
He has already asked his daughter, an architect, to draw up new plans for the rebuild, with a vision to make it more beautiful than before.
Beyond its stunning seaside location, Luna Motel has always stood out for its warm, family atmosphere. Hand-picked décor, thoughtful room details, and a staff that treated guests like old friends made it a favorite for locals and travelers alike, a charming getaway that balanced comfort and a distinctly Lebanese sense of hospitality.
Over the years, it has become a favorite for both locals and travelers seeking a relaxing seaside retreat that balances comfort, charm, and a distinctly Lebanese welcome.
We are saddened by its destruction but remain hopeful to witness its return. Make sure to follow the Luna Motel on Instagram for updates on their comeback.
