After the banadoura sandwich, we’ve gotten used to checking out Em Sherif’s monthly drops because this beloved spot always manages to create something we’d want to try. The latest addition to the menu at Em Sherif Deli is…maté ice cream.
Maté is a jabal staple, and for those who aren’t familiar with the taste, it has very earthy, herbal, and woody notes. It tastes a lot like unsweetened herbal teas, but the flavor is a bit more intense.
The sprinkle of pistachio and white chocolate mix with the herbs to soften the maté’s natural bitterness. Though we haven’t tried it yet, we imagine that you’ll taste the white chocolate first, with hints of maté in the background.

Em Sherif Deli loves to celebrate tradition. This spot always brings bites we all know and love so you could have a taste of Lebanese nostalgia. The menu at the deli features staples like the classic batata sandwich, delicious beyd awarma, sweet meghli jars, and so much more. All reimagined with the deli’s signature touch.
Would you try the new maté white choco ice cream at Em Sherif Deli?
