With a lack of green public spaces in Lebanon, finding places where all children can play together isn’t always easy. For families of children with disabilities, the options can feel even more limited. Luckily, Lebanon has finally inaugurated the first inclusive park!
Located in Jouret El Ballout, Squirrel’s Park was designed to welcome children of all abilities, including those with developmental, physical, and learning difficulties.
More than just a playground, the space encourages kids to explore, socialize, and connect with nature in a safe environment.
The park features an inclusive playground, climbing structures, swings, balancing activities, nature trails, sensory play areas, open spaces for running, and even farm animals that children can interact with.
Designed to support both free play and skill development, the space gives children opportunities to build confidence, strengthen social connections, and engage with the outdoors away from screens.
Parents and caregivers can also enjoy dedicated seating areas, while the venue offers spaces for family gatherings and events. For more information, make sure to follow them on Instagram.
