Pasteur Street is about to get A LOT more interesting.
Chuck et Luc, a new era American eatery, specialty café, and craft beer bar, opens this September, and it’s arriving with a serious headline: the Middle East’s first Mikkeller Beer Bar.

There will be 16 rotating taps pouring beers from the acclaimed Danish brewery, including IPAs, lagers, stouts, sours, and more. In other words, if you’re into craft beer, you’ll probably want to keep this one on your radar.

But Chuck et Luc isn’t just about what’s happening at the bar. Founded by Boghos Zetlian, the new era eatery is designed to work throughout the day, starting with specialty coffee in the morning and moving into lunch, dinner, and drinks as the day goes on. The menu puts its own spin on familiar American classics, while the bar gives the place a completely different energy once the sun goes down.

Set on the ground floor of a modern building, Chuck et Luc combines warm oak, deep teal tiles, raw concrete, and black ironwork. The open staircase, tucked behind floor-to-ceiling wooden shelving, is one of those details you’ll notice as you move through the space, while the coffee bar has two XLVI Indipendent lever machine, striking Italian-made machines that are very much meant to be seen.
The hand-drawn illustrations used throughout the branding add another layer of personality, giving the place a more relaxed, lived-in feel. It’s a pretty simple idea, really: coffee in the morning, lunch when you’re hungry, dinner when you’re staying out, and Mikkeller on tap when the evening calls for a beer.
Chuck et Luc opens this September on Pasteur Street, Gemmayze. Keep your eyes peeled as we share more about their menu and their incredible space!
