In a new performance produced by her best friend, Lea, a light designer,
faces her worst fear: A conflict which was conceived at a young age and is
resurrected when old feelings fight their way out.
Lights puts in focus the conflict between Lea’s feelings for Jay and her
genuine fear and love for God.
About the Director
Lights is a short film written and directed by Nancy Iskander, an Egyptian
senior student in the Lebanese American University, resident in Beirut.
After a long pursuit of becoming a filmmaker, Nancy dropped her 4
year dental studies in Egypt and moved to Lebanon to specialize in
Communication Arts with emphasis on TV and Film.
Following her ultimate calling, Nancy focuses on shedding light on blurred
dimensions of various controversies: Conflict of homosexuality versus God is
one controversy Nancy has chosen to expose in her first film Lights.
