Maurice Louca Live at Beirut Souks

Garraya is Maurice Louca’s Debut album, with songs composed and produced over the last couple of years. The charged, concrete melodies, and rhythm’s create music that borders between the vastness of landscapes, and the repetitive intensity of a confined space.

Maurice co-founded and is part of the band Bikya. He has composed and preformed live the original sound track for Sherif el Azma’s video/lecture, Psycho Geography of Loose Associations, part of Meeting Points 5. His debut solo album Garraya was released in january 2011 with a hundred copies. He also composed and performs live alongside musician and composer Mustafa Saed the music for the theatre production lessons in Revolting 2011. This year he also worked on the sound design for the film Sound from the hallways 2012 directed by artist/film maker Lasse Lau.
