Migrant Workers Parade and Festival

Celebrate Workers’ Day, end Slavery, end sponsorship for migrant domestic workers.
Join for a cultural parade and festival to celebrate Workers’ Day and demand change of the sponsorship system.

From 11:30 till 13:00 – Parade starts from Makhlouf Restaurant in Dora toward St. Joseph Church in Monot Street

From 13:00 till 16:00 – Festival of food, music, and dance from Africa, Asia and the Middle East (Sri Lanka, Madagascar, the Philippines, Ethiopia, Sudan, Nepal & Bangladesh) at the parking lot behind St. Joseph Church

This event is organized by various NGOs and Migrant Community Leaders such as ARM / Nasawiya, Insan, PCAAM, KAFA (enough) Violence & Exploitation, with the support of DRC and SDC.

Special Formula:Free Bus pick up & drop off are available at these points:
– Saida (main square at 10:30),
– Baabda (in front of Bou Khalil on the highway at 11:00),
– Jounieh ( ShowBizz at 10:30),
– Bikfaya (at main roundabout at 10:00)
