The Youth for Development and Carboun invites you to attend their first Road to Doha event in Beirut “Climate Change and Water Resources”. This event includes two talks by prominent Lebanese experts (Dr. Nadim Farajallah from the AUB and Dr. Tarek Sadek from the UN-ESCWA) and will be held in the Engineering Lecture Hall (Bechtel Building) of the AUB. Expert presentations will focus on the impact of Climate Change on water resources in the Arab Region and in Lebanon in particular.
Carboun and Youth for Development are jointly hosting this event. The Carboun initiative is an advocacy initiative promoting sustainability in middle eastern cities; Carboun covers the entire MENA region with a team of 30+ dedicated volunteers and national coordinators from many countries across the region.
Youth for Development is an active Lebanese NGO which focuses on the involvement and participation of youth in the civil society, mainly in the areas of civic engagement and sustainable development.
This event is part of Road to Doha, a project by the Carboun initiative which aims to capitalize on the momentum of the Doha COP 18 meeting by offering audience in the Middle East access to research and studies related to the state of sustainability in the region. This event follows the first Road to Doha event hosted by the Carboun Jordan team earlier this month.
