Daline Jabbour at Radio Beirut

Hear classic Eastern Tarab and Muwashahat from the brilliant Daline Jabbour and her ensemble. Daline is bringing Arab heritage music back on the contemporary music agenda.

She will play alongside a group of specialized musicians in the domain of improvising in accordance with the Takht Standard of the Arabic Music. Daline’s group is influenced by Renaissance musicians such as Abdo El Hamouli, Mohamed Osman, Sheikh Youssef Al-Manyalawy, Abdul Hay Helmi, Saleh Abdul Hay, Abou El Alaa’ Mohamed, Mohieddine Beaoun, Sami Al Shawa, Mohamed Al Aakad and Heikj Sayed Darwish.

The group aims to refresh a form of music that had been neglected for over a hundred years.
