The technology era is upon planet Earth, and this includes our beautiful little city of Beirut. We’ve found 13 Lebanese apps that are designed to make life a little easier for us and help us combat what seem to be never-ending struggles.
Please note that not all are available on the Google Play store! We have included links for those that are. Enjoy!
1. Beirut Electricity
Have you ever thought the electricity is dawle, and you turn on too many lights or plug in too many appliances then *poof* blackout? Yeah, me too. Beirut Electricity tells you exactly what the electricity is on, not just for today but for future dates too. No more walking up six flights of stairs, plan your lift ride in advance!

2. Carpolo
Carpooling comes to Beirut! Many carpooling apps have tried to launch in Lebanon over the years, however the most recent and most successful so far is Carpolo. Endorsed by MTC Touch, and stemming from AUB, this sophisticated app pairs you with people going your way. A stat that they promote is that if everybody used Carpolo just once a week, traffic would be reduced by 20%. We’re definitely giving this a try once it’s launched within the next few months. There’s currently no Google Play version, but the Carpolo developers are working on it.
