Set by the sea, the breathtaking city of Sour has all the reasons for you to stop whatever you’re doing and start planning how you’re going to do all of the following 9 things:

1. The beach tents on the Tyre coast.

Enjoy some fun in the sun at one of the various tents on the sandy beach of Sour. They all boast of a cozy, friendly, and clean atmosphere, so pack up your volley balls, floats, rackets and head down South.

2. The incredible marine life.

Discover the magical world that lies underwater and swim with the huge and majestic turtles at Sour’s beaches.

3. The sunset at Ras el Bayada.

One of the most sunning sunset views in Lebanon is found on this huge rock.

4. Dar Alma & Dar Camelia.

This cute boutique hotel is a must see when you’re in Tyre, it has a killer view, a stylish design, and boasts of authentic Mediterranean vibes. Bonus: it’s a walk away from the most beautiful neighborhood, which brings me to my next point.

5. The colorful old city neighborhood.

This neighborhood is my dream home. The first thing you see when you’re walking on the streets is the splashing colors of the buildings complemented by the pots of flowers, and the sweetest locals sitting outside welcoming you as you pass by. Everything about this street will make you smile.

6. A medieval inn in the old city.

As you’re walking down the old streets, look for a place with Jim Beam pots of flowers, and you will have arrived. The first time I entered Tavolino I was welcomed by two of the hugest and sweetest huskies, Thor and Loki, and since then it has been marked as my favorite place in Sour. Other than the delicious drinks and the homely ambiance, Tavolino Pub is a great place to hang out.

7. The gorgeous ruins.

Step into history and be fascinated by the ruins this city has. It’s amazing to think that structures this old hold up to our present day, so please respect the surroundings while you’re visiting!

8. The heavenly seafood.

Abou Tony’s restaurant on the Mina is something you must try for mouthwatering seafood. However, there are no menus for you to choose from, Abou Tony will be choosing your meal of the day from the fresh fish he catches himself, but don’t worry, you’ll be in good hands. You must try his signature dish is the shrimps with a delicious secret sauce.
