Good News: Lebanese Team Crowned Winner Of 2019 AFC Asian Cup

During the final match of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup hosted in Kuala Lumpur, Lebanon’s Al-Ahed faced off with North Korea’s April 25, beating them 1-0.



It was at the 74th minute that 28 year old Issa Yakubu scored the goal, leading the team to victory.



Al-Ahed team is not the first Lebanese team to reach the finals of this championship, but they are the first team to win the title. Al-Nejmeh reached the finals back in 2005 as well as Al-Safa in 2008.
