Here’s How A Lebanese Government Is Dissolved

Constitutionally, there are six ways a government can be considered dissolved. They are stipulated in Article 69 and are as follows:

1. if the Prime Minister resigns;

2. if it loses more than a third of the members specified in the Decree forming
it;

3. if the Prime Minister dies;

4. at the beginning of the term of the President of the Republic;

5. at the beginning of the term of the Parliament;

6. when it loses the confidence of Parliament based on the
Parliament’s initiative or based on the Council’s initiative to gain confidence.

So far, one minister has submitted their resignation today (Minister of Information Manal Abdel Samad) and another (Minister of Economy and Trade Raoul Nehme) seems to be following suit.

What is the fate of this government?
