Lebanese Minister of Justice Marie-Claude Najm Resigns
BREAKING: After Minister of Information Manal Abdel Samad and Minister of Environment Demianos Kattar submitted their resignation earlier on Sunday, Minister of Justice Marie Claude Najm is following suit.
The resignations come after the deadly port explosion that killed more than 150 people, injured more than 6000 people, left 300,000 families homeless, and destroyed many areas in Beirut.
Prior to the blast, Lebanon’s foreign minister Nassif Hitti had also resigned, warning that Lebanon is in risk of becoming “a failed state.”
