Writer Lina Mounzer Called For Questioning
Lebanese writer and translator Lina Mounzer has been called in for questioning by the Internal Security Forces’ intelligence branch. Mounzer’s writing usually focuses on her experiences of living in Lebanon.
Mounzer says that the ISF did not disclose the reason for the summoning to her, and is asking for everyone’s support during her interrogation which will take place at 11 AM today.
Mounzer, who has published articles for outlets ranging from the New York Times to L’Orient Today, is the latest in a string of journalists and public figures to be called in for investigation by the Lebanese state.
