Hunger Heroes’ Blessed Efforts Amid Food Insecurity

Having served almost 1,810,000 food meals and rescued 2,500,000 tons of food, FoodBlessed is a local hunger relief and food-rescue NGO bridging the gap between waste and hunger today in Lebanon.


With approximately 30% of all edible food in Lebanon going to waste, more than half of the population living under the poverty line, and 1.6 million Syrian refugees struggling to make ends meet, FoodBlessed has been taking initiative to save edible food from waste and distribute them to people in need.


A part of their strategy includes partnering with food and non-food companies like supermarkets, farms, food retailers, restaurants, and catering agencies to salvage excess food for better use. Through this partnership, they aim to tackle food waste by transforming the surplus food into wholesome free meals.


Another part of their strategy is organizing food drives and fundraising events to collect food and redistribute it to local non-profit partners to serve underprivileged communities in need.
