According to IMDB, the 2022 documentary follows the journeys of Middle Eastern queer activists, most notably Sarah Hegazi and the band Mashrou’ Leila, as they fight repression with resistance. Hegazi’s simple act of raising the rainbow flag during a Mashrou’ Leila concert back in 2017 transformed and catapulted the queer revolution in the region.
