AUB Kicks Off Palestine Week, Here’s What You Need To Know

To honor the past and present of the Palestinian people in light of the current aggressions unfolding in Palestine, the American University of Beirut is currently holding Palestine Week. Taking place until Saturday, March 9th, the week will feature a series of film screenings, talks, discussions, events, stands, and more on campus.

The university welcomed student and none-student participants who planned amazing events that facilitated meaningful dialogue about Palestine and the regional transformations that have occurred and continue to occur since the Nakba in 1948.

Yesterday, the university held a virtual discussion with young Palestinian journalist Plestia Alaqad under the title “Voices from Gaza”. Associate Professor Bana Bashour also mentioned that journalist Wael Dahdouh expressed his thanks to the university and its students for holding such a wonderful event for Palestine and its people.

To wrap up Palestine Week, the Al Fayha Choir will hold a concert at 8 PM in Assembly Hall to raise donations for the Ghassan Abu Sittah Children’s fund. Buy your tickets here!
