President Lula Welcomes 229 Lebanese Evacuees in Sao Paulo

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva of Brazil personally welcomed the first plane arriving from Lebanon, carrying 229 Lebanese evacuees holding Brazilian citizenship. Due to the worsening aggressions across Lebanese territories, they were evacuated to Portugal and then São Paulo.

This heartfelt reception served as a powerful message of solidarity and support for the Lebanese people. Brazil currently has the highest concentration of Lebanese outside the Middle East.
