GoPark: A Lebanese App That Lets You Book Your Parking Spot
The worst part of any outing, errand, or appointment is trying to find a parking spot in Beirut. To remedy the parking struggles, a new Lebanese app called GoPark launched to help you pre-book your parking spot before you even leave the house.
How f*cking cool is that? Sorry, we’re kind of excited since our office is in Hamra (arguably one of the hardest places to find a parking spot).
How It Works
We downloaded the app and tested it out ourselves to tell you all about the user experience.
Open the app and log in or sign up with Google or Apple. Create your profile by adding your name and phone number, then search for your destination and pick a parking spot. They’re currently only available in Hamra and around the American University of Beirut, but hopefully, you’ll be able to book parking spots all over Beirut soon!
After searching up the destination, the app will show you how many parking spots are available in the area and how much it costs per hour. When you book the parking space, you’ll then be asked to select a date and time. You can book it for half a day, full day, or 24 hours.
We think GoPark is an awesome Lebanese app that solves a problem we know all too well. It’s especially useful for university students who don’t live in dorms and constantly struggle to find parking near campus.
