Looking for a heartwarming initiative to support? Meet Diana, a Lebanese woman known as Em El Bsaynet (the Mother of Cats) in Beirut’s southern suburb. Running Dahye’s only cat shelter, Diana has been taking in stray cats since the COVID-19 pandemic, and even more during the war on Lebanon.
For years, she’s been known in her neighborhood for her deep compassion toward animals. She treats every cat like her own, carefully feeding, cleaning, and giving them medicine when they’re sick.
Even after one of her cats is adopted, she follows up with their new family to make sure they’re well-adjusted. Here is one of the comments under the post about Diana:
If you pass by her shelter in Dahye, you can buy stuff for your cats, plants, adopt your own cat, or support her initiative.
Those who wish to donate can reach out to the shelter on +961 81 887 516. You can also message Humans of Dahieh on Instagram.
