CFI Organizes an Educational Tour at Leading Lebanese Universitiesto Bring Real-World Trading Education to Students

As participation in financial markets is more accessible than ever, the need for structured education has become critical to ensuring that individuals engage responsibly and with proper understanding. In Lebanon, this need is particularly pressing among young people entering an increasingly complex financial landscape. In response, CFI organized an educational tour at leading Lebanese universities to deliver hands-on educational sessions that introduce students to financial markets and trading in a real-world context, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to financial education.

The initiative will roll out with sessions starting in February at Antonine University (UA), the American University of Beirut (AUB), and the Banking and Finance Club at Byblos LAU, followed by additional sessions scheduled throughout the month of April. Titled “Financial Markets in the Real World: From Theory to Practice,” the interactive sessions are open to students from all academic backgrounds, with no prior finance knowledge required, and are designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice, providing participants with a clear understanding of how global financial markets operate and how market movements influence economies and everyday life.

During the sessions, students are introduced to the fundamentals of financial markets, including currencies, commodities, and stocks, alongside the key factors that drive price movements. The program also covers core trading concepts, market analysis tools, how to read and interpret financial news, and the principles of risk management essential to responsible trading.

Commenting on the initiative, Katia Kheir, CEO of CFI Lebanon, said: “Trading safely starts with knowledge. At CFI, we believe that education is the foundation of responsible market participation. Through CFI Academy, we have worked tirelessly to make trading knowledge accessible across Lebanon. Bringing this initiative into universities allows us to reach young people early, equip them with the right tools, and help them make informed decisions that can positively shape their financial future.”

The sessions aim to provide participants with a solid foundation in financial markets, a clear understanding of different asset classes, and the analytical mindset required to approach trading with discipline and awareness. By the end of each session, students gain practical insights that enable them to engage with financial markets in a structured and informed manner.

CFI will also be launching an academic partnership with the American University of Science and Technology (AUST), through which CFI will be presenting a dedicated educational program to further spread knowledge in online trading. CFI will also organize a demo account competition by the end of each program. Sessions are planned to start by March 2026.

Through these initiatives, CFI is pioneering financial literacy in Lebanon through its Online Academy, on-ground educational workshops across various Lebanese regions, and now through structured university programs aimed at developing a new generation of financially savvy individuals.
