Two young girls displaced by the ongoing war on Lebanon are sending a powerful message of solidarity to the people of Gaza. Fatima and Farah are currently living in tents on the beach, facing harsh conditions themselves, but their empathy reaches far beyond their own struggles.

In a video that has since circulated online, the girls share what they are feeling. “Today, we felt what the people of Gaza are going through,” they say as they describe the daily hardships they endure, such as living on sand, under the hot sun, and struggling to access water, and connect these experiences to those facing similar, even harsher conditions in Gaza.
They also acknowledge the tireless efforts of parents trying to make life bearable for their children, relating it to their own experiences with their families. Despite their young age, their hearts reach out to others forced to flee their homes.
Even small acts of solidarity make a real difference for families facing urgent challenges. If you’re looking for trusted initiatives to donate to, click here. If you’d like to volunteer, click here.
