After Awk.word and KED went their separate ways in May 2026, the comedy club has been on the hunt for a new home in Beirut.
Awk.word has announced that it’s relocating to Jisr El Wati, marking the start of a new chapter for one of Beirut’s favorite comedy clubs. Now down the street from Brazzaville, the club has found a new home for its stand-up nights, bringing together audiences and comedians for more evenings of laughs.
Set to officially open on July 1, 2026, the new space is already gearing up with a full July schedule for those looking to enjoy a night of comedy. The lineup will feature familiar faces from Awk.word’s shows, including Nour Hajjar and Mario Moubarak, alongside more comedians from the local scene.
With its new location, Awk.word is continuing to create a space where Beirut’s comedy community can come together, whether you’re a longtime fan or checking out a stand-up night for the first time.
Those who wish to book their tickets can do so via their website. Tickets are still available, so we recommend booking seats for you and your friends before they sell out.
