KRYO: Beirut’s Freshest New Greek Yogurt Spot

When ice cream can’t keep you cool during the summer, your best option is Greek yogurt. Since it’s served cold and has a high water content, you’ll get a refreshing treat that helps you cool down. We’re not sure if there are actual physiological benefits to choosing Greek yogurt over ice cream, but you can’t really argue that it’s NOT light and refreshing.

The vibrant streets of Beirut have welcomed a new Greek yogurt spot called KRYO, bringing a taste of Greece to the heart of Saifi. Did you know that “Kryo” comes from the Greek word κρύο (kryó), meaning “cold” or “cool”? The more you know.

Located across from Albé, the spot keeps things clean and minimalist. The space is decorated in crisp white and blue, drawing inspiration from Greece.

The simple interiors, bright tones, and Mediterranean details give it a fresh, summery feel all year round.

Most Greek yogurt spots focus on piling on toppings, but KRYO keeps the yogurt at the center of every bowl. The toppings are carefully balanced to complement its tangy flavor without overpowering it.

Heat waves in Beirut don’t have to be so unbearable anymore. If you’d like to stop by KRYO in Saifi, click here for the exact location.

They’re open daily from 11 AM until 11 PM. Make sure to follow them on Instagram for more, and check out the #What’s New section to stay updated on Beirut’s latest.
