On International Coffee Day: Our Favorite Coffee Shops in Beirut

We’re sure all the coffee lovers are celebrating with their usuals today. To celebrate International Coffee Day, we decided to share a compilation of our favorite coffee spots in the city.

1. Qahwa BLK, Ain El Mreisseh, Mar Mikhael, Zouk & Jal El Dib

The bubbly staff is one of many reasons we keep coming back to this spot, but their Spanish latte with oat milk is actually quite good. The spot is perfect for people always on the go but wouldn’t mind stopping for a quick chat with the barista.

2. Brimm, Kouraytem

If you haven’t tried Brimm yet, this is your sign. An underrated coffee gem that not only has great coffee but is less crowded than most spots. That means you can enjoy some alone time or even get some work done without getting interrupted.

3. Rise, Gemmayze

This one-of-a-kind spot is Lebanon’s first refined sugar-free coffee and adaptogen bar, quickly becoming a beloved spot in the city. The concept was developed by Melissa El Haddad, who quit investment banking, moved back to Beirut from London, and decided to pursue her passion for wellness and good coffee.

4. us Coffee, Starco

Its location makes it an easy go-to when you want a lively spot to catch up with friends, grab a coffee, and stay for a while. The all-day spot is open from 7 AM until 12 AM, so you can get your coffee fix literally any time of day.

5. DEKAF, Saifi

A new coffee spot that made it to our list of must-tries for coffee lovers and brunch goers. Apart from it’s well-developed concept and inviting space, DEKAF takes its coffee seriously, though we think the highlight of your visit will be brunch.

6. Levant, Gemmayze

Now a Beirut classic, Levant will always feel like stepping into your very stylish teta’s living room for a coffee break and sweet treats. We’re absolutely obsessed with their Arabic desserts that pair perfectly well with quite literally any coffee order.

7. Blend, Downtown Beirut & Kantari

Blend has built a loyal following for its coffee, with regulars particularly loving the Spanish latte, frappes, and friendly baristas. Its Kantari location is also a good spot to settle in with your laptop or a book, while you can pick up their beans to make your favorite cup at home.
