What Are Scariest Things You Can Be This Halloween in Lebanon?

If you’re struggling to come up with what you want to be for Halloween in Lebanon, then we have a few ideas for costumes. These are the scariest things we could come up with.

1. A 500,000 LBP banknote

What better way to represent our free-falling economy than with a banknote that doesn’t exist but has been rumored to be in the works?

Absolutely terrifying.

2. Your Lebanese mom after 30 missed calls

Has anyone ever survived that? Asking for a friend.

3. Bonne Nuit Les Petits

These MFs scared us half to death as kids. They still do as adults. How did we even watch this with a straight face? Imagine someone pulling up to a Halloween party like this…

4. Le Chic Tawouk

Nothing is scarier than Lebanese people’s obsession with trends.

Where’s the girl that said individuality was dead? She was so right and ahead of her time.

5. Joura

The scariest thing you can be is something that will 100% destroy someone’s car. Not in this economy.

6. 2i3rab

If you walk around with a sheet of paper asking people to “2a3rib ma tahtahu khat”, we’re sure that one of two things will happen: 1) No one will get it right, or 2) People will run away.

10/10 costume.

7. Abu Kees

Has anyone ever envisioned what Abu Kees would actually look like? Is it just a man with a Kees over his head?

This was the source of every Lebanese child’s trauma back in the day. We’re not sure if kids these days are still threatened with Abu Kees.

8. Zouk traffic jam

Arguably the WORST traffic jam in Lebanon from 4 PM until 7 PM. We actually have a ranking of the worst 3aj2as in the country here.

What do you think is the worst?

9. A clock striking 6 PM

Though most people have solar power now, we’re still wired to avoid the elevator at around this time because betrooh l kahraba.

Old habits die hard, I guess.
