It’s that time of year where students are panicking over undergraduate programs and figuring out what university abroad is best for them. If you’re considering studying in France for the 2027-2028 academic year, then here’s how to make the process much easier for you.
Campus France Liban helps students navigate the steps involved, including preparing their applications and completing all the administrative procedures that follow.
Before starting your application, take some time to explore the programs and universities that match your academic background and future plans.
France offers a range of options across different fields, including arts, business, engineering, architecture, humanities, and more. Depending on your chosen program, you can apply to study for an undergraduate degree, continue your university studies, or pursue a master’s degree.
You can also choose between programs taught in French and those taught in English, depending on the institution and its admission requirements.
Make sure to check each program’s eligibility criteria, language requirements, tuition fees, and application deadlines before making your choices.
For students residing in Lebanon, the main application platform for participating French higher education institutions is Études en France.
The online platform allows you to create a personal application file, submit your applications to connected institutions, communicate with Campus France, and follow the administrative process through to the student visa application stage.
Start by creating an account on the official platform at pastel.diplomatie.gouv.fr/etudesenfrance.
Once your account is ready, follow the instructions to complete your profile, enter your academic information, upload the required supporting documents, and select your preferred programs.
The procedure you need to follow depends on the level of study you’re applying for, so make sure you select the correct one.
For the 2027–2028 academic year, applications through Campus France Liban opened on October 1, 2026. The deadline depends on the type of program you’re applying to.
December 15, 2026: Deadline for first-year university programs under the Demande d’Admission Préalable (DAP) procedure, as well as programs at national schools of architecture.
January 31, 2027: Deadline for applications to the second and third years of a bachelor’s degree, master’s programs, and eligible engineering, business, and art schools under the hors DAP procedure.
These deadlines apply to the relevant application procedures through Études en France. Some institutions that are not connected to the platform follow their own admissions procedures, so check directly with your chosen school if necessary.
Don’t leave things until the last minute. Campus France Liban advises applicants to respect the published deadlines, as late applications will not be accepted.
Your application will require supporting documents, including information about your academic background. The exact documents depend on your program and individual circumstances, so consult the official application guide before submitting your file.
Language proficiency is another important consideration. If your chosen program is taught in French or English, check which language certificates the institution requires and whether any exemptions apply.
It’s worth arranging any required language tests early enough to meet the relevant deadlines.
You should also review your application carefully before submitting it to make sure all the requested information and documents are included.
If you’re unsure which procedure applies to you or need help navigating the platform, Campus France Liban can guide you through the process.
Students can access information and support in Beirut, elsewhere in Lebanon, and online. The organization also publishes application guides and updates about deadlines and procedures to help applicants prepare their files.
Keep in mind that completing the Campus France procedure does not guarantee admission to a university or the issuance of a student visa. Both depend on the relevant institutions and authorities.
If studying in France is part of your plans for 2027, this is the time to research your options, prepare your documents, and get familiar with the application process.
