Though many book lovers love growing their personal collections, many of us enjoy renting out books and returning them. It’s a perfect option for people doing research, reading something new before committing, or simply indulging in their hobby without spending too much money on books.
Unfortunately, being a bookworm is not cheap. It’s not because we can’t find affordable books but we sort of black out while buying new books. “Just one more book” turns into a huge TBR. But for the bookworms who want to read more for less, you can rent out books from this store in Lebanon and return them once you’re done.
We discovered Rent A Book at this year’s Beirut International Arab Book Fair. Manal, a fellow book lover, came up with the idea 8 years ago, and we can’t believe it took us this long to learn about it.
She came up with the idea when she was looking for places to rent out books. Once she realized that wasn’t an option, she decided to start Rent A Book to make reading more accessible to everyone. Manal believes that access to reading should be a basic right, not a privilege. We couldn’t agree more!
Rent A Book now has a collection of 200+ authentic books for you to choose from in English and Arabic. All you have to do is reach out via WhatsApp on +961 76 043 828 and let them know which books you’d like to rent.
A delivery driver will bring them straight to your doorstep, and you’ll pay a rental fee that’s lower than the books’ original retail value. Depending on how many books you rent, you’ll have 1-2 months to enjoy your reads before the delivery driver comes back to collect them.
Renting books also makes sense when your TBR pile is already threatening to take over your room. You can finally get around to the books you’ve been eyeing without adding to your shelves or wondering where you’re going to fit them all. For more information, make sure to reach out to them via Instagram or WhatsApp on +961 76 043 828.
Happy reading!
