Join the Monnot Theatre as it hosts performances of the play “3aj2et Seyr” by Josyane Boulos. In 1996, stuck in one of Beirut’s legendary traffic jams, Josyane Boulos chooses to observe the surrounding drivers instead of losing her temper, and comes to realize the many revealing aspects of drivers’ behavior.

As a result, her first « Carton Rouge » was born and published in Femme Magazine, after which it was followed by a new entry every month, until 2004. Thus life on the streets, in the coffee shops, in the restaurants, at the movies theatres, at evening parties and daily activities, from Monday to Sunday, come rain or come shine, on the phone or online, anything, anywhere, and anytime became fertile ground for criticism, and made good subject matter for yet a new “Carton Rouge”, a portrait or a caricature of our society.

Years later, still stuck in traffic, rather than getting angry, Josyane decides to adapt her Cartons Rouges to the stage and to direct it in a play. « 3aj2et Seyr » (Traffic) or « a woman’s trials and tribulations while driving on the busy streets of Beirut» finally sees the day.
