“Dakkat Qalb” Ateek cervical cancer benefit piano concert

Ateek is an initiative introducing contemporary Arab composers and musicians. The different events by Ateek such as concerts for two pianos and the Ateek Ensemble have been serving as a platform for a musical journey introducing the Arabic music in a modernized way and integrating it in the classical repertoire. Ateek aims at renovating old forms and combining them with different musical styles, including Jazz and classical music, both Arabic and Occidental. Contemporary composers from both the Middle East and Europe such as Iyad Mohammad are constantly composing for the ensemble, adding to its originality.
Ateek invites you to a piano concert entitled “Dakkat Qalb”, proceeds go to institutions supporting cervical cancer prevention in Lebanon.

Mohammad Othman Sidiq – “Mawlawi” for two pianos and percussion (Premiere)
