‘El Verano de los Peces Voladores’ Screening at ARTE Film Week

The Metropolis Association, with the support of the French Institute of Lebanon is organizing the 5th ARTE Film Week with several movie screenings, including “El Verano de los Peces Voladores” or “The Summer of Flying Fish,” directed by Marcela Said.

Synopsis:
A bourgeois Chilean family spends summer at their lakeside estate. The father, Francisco, becomes obsessed with removing all of the carp fish from his artificial lagoon. His daughter, Manena, perceives her father’s actions as a provocation of the local Mapuche community, who claim original ownership of the land.
