On the occasion of Hammana Artist House’s first anniversary, we’re celebrating art and its ability to unite different artists, eras, and genres. Revered singer, contralto Fadia Tomb El Hage will sing melodies in tribute to the iconic 19th century Lebanese writer and artist, Gebran Khalil Gebran. By giving music to the poetry of the late poet from Northern Lebanon, Tomb El Hage will honor his legacy from the outdoor stage of Hammana Artist House.
Fadia Tomb El Hage’s repertoire spans from classical Arab music to European Medieval music all the way to contemporary music.
At the early age of 14, Fadia Tomb El Hage musical talent made its first appearance as the Lebanese contralto performed under the mentorship of the Rahbani brothers and Fairouz. In 1984, she earned her degree in psychology from the Lebanese University before moving with her husband to Germany. It was there that she specialized in oratorio at the Richard-Strauss-Konservatorium in Munich. She then returned to Lebanon and performed her breakthrough concert at the 1998 Festival of Baalbeck.
