The Beirut Exhibition Center is hosting an exhibition by Jean-Marc Nahas called “Ha and Hawa”. The exhibition will be a live painting event, with the exhibition itself coming to life day after day.
Jean-Marc Nahas is known for his artworks of intricate, imagined shapes and figures. In this exhibition, the artist covers his retrospective work, but goes beyond it with a new challenge.
The exhibition’s highlight is a new creative exercise for the artist: empty walls that day after day, progress into painting bearing the marks of the artist’s life experiences and influences. It’s an act of self-exposure, a reconstitution of self, emotions and memory, and evolving daily in front of the eyes of the visitors doubling as witnesses. The exhibition will probably be the largest canvas the artist has ever created in terms of size and density.
