Hypnoskull talks Industrialism and Music Production

Frequent Defect in collaboration with Riwaq Beirut host the first of a series of talks where prominent local and international music artists discuss subjects ranging from music and art philosophy to the production techniques behind their work.

In this talk, hypnoskull (Patrick Stevens) will be speaking about his passage through the musical realm alongside the reasoning behind his artistic works.

A highlight of the industrial scene at the time, and the reasons for its emergence as such. Control processes, subversion tactics and lines of flight.
He will also be talking about his production workflow, sampling techniques and their evolvement since he started making music in 1992.
Patrick will end with a small discussion and Q&A session, followed by a brief live performance.

Essabagh [Rami El Sabbagh] will take over the downstairs music after the talk.
