JEMarch Visual Arts Competition 2012

From Jul 2 to Jul 7, 2012
B018

JEMarch will be holding a visual arts competition centered around the theme of:is the real moment still present? The current state of things, where every moment is lived only to enhance the next one, begs the question as to whether we can still experience time in the present tense? The finite nature of life, the vicious cycle or progress, and society’s grand allusion to the myth of Sisyphus are all major themes in this competition.

The competition is free of charge to enter. Registration runs online until July 7th and the submission deadline runs until August 8th. The panel that will be deciding the winners includes: Bernard Khoury, Tony Chakar, Joseph El Hourany, Joumana El Hayek, and Karim Al Dahdah. An award ceremony and an exhibition will take place at B018 in August. The grand prize is $2,500!
