Lara Eidi Live at Radio Beirut

Thursday, Jun 20, 2013
9:00pm -> 11:00pm
Radio Beirut

Join Radio Beirut as it hosts a live performance by Lara Eidi. Initially an English Literature student Film Student at St. Andrews Scotland, Lara Eidi always seemed to turn to music for all the answers, either jamming on the front garden at Deree, or singing in some student dorm and pub in Scotland.

After returning to Greece in 2010, she decided, so to speak, to risk it all and take the road less traveled. She founded The Lara Collective with established cellist Stavros Pargino, whose musical talent and creativity rendered the music both atmospheric and in turn completed their original piano-voice arrangement. And there, music, text, culminated in the creation of her first EP, “ Little People”, released on iTunes October 2012 and recorded at Irida Studios.

The turning point however, came about when the musical pair were accepted to represent Greece and Lebanon at the renowned Edinburgh Fringe Festival , in Edinburgh, Scotland, on the 15 and 16 of August. Needless to say, a lifelong dream was realized, and this summer, prior to the festival Lara and Stavros are super psyched to be performing one of their concerts at Radio Beirut, followed by Fete de La Musique.
