As part of the Contemporary Italian Cinema Festival, Metropolis Cinema is hosting a screening of the movie “Le Quattro Volte” by Michelangelo Frammartino.
Synopsis: An old shepherd is living his last days in a quiet village perched high on the hills of Calabria, at the southernmost tip of Italy. He herds goats under skies that most villagers have deserted long ago. One day, he dies surrounded by his animals. In the meantime, a new goat is born. “Le Quattro Volte” is a poetic vision of the revolving cycles of life and nature and the unbroken traditions of a timeless place.
