Lebanese Laique Clowns

A group of “Arthiests” from different universities in lebanon who started their cause in the summer of 2011 when they felt that Beirut needs more cheerful people and street performers dedicated for laughter. The 1st clown walk was on the 6th of July 2011 and it was improvised. People’s interactions made them go forward therefore they organized their second Clown Walk For Laughter on the 28th of December 2011. Due to the closing of Beirut Theatre in Hamra, their cause grew and we had assembled as many crowd dedicated to lebanese theaters and clown supporters on the 27th of March 2012 (the date coincides with the ” international theater day “), and with the collaboration of the group ” redo el masra7 la beiut “, Clown Around had roamed Hamra’s streets again alongside famous lebanese figures and a massive number of people from all ages.

Less routine
Interaction with the crowd
Occupying different space in the city
Bringing street art to a new level
Being able to release the stress and feel free to enjoy your time with laughter and fun company.
