This session is hosted by Christopher Mikhayel Shaheen who holds a master’s degree in percussion and Jazz studies from the University of North Texas.
He’ll cover the following topics:

– Peruvian percussion instruments: cajon & cajita
– Afro-Peruvian rhythms: Lando & Festejo
– Live cajon demonstration (rhythm)
About Christopher Mikhayel Shaheen
Christopher Mikhayel Shaheen performs and records in a wide variety of genres. He currently serves as Percussionist/Timpanist with the Lebanese National Philharmonic, and drummer for the Lebanese National Conservatory Big Band. He also teaches drum set and percussion at the Conservatory and LeBAM.
