Special Miles Center (S-miles)

S-miles (Special Miles) is a specialized inclusive center, founded in January 2011, and includes individuals with and without special needs and learning difficulties.

S-miles center offers early detection and intervention for nurseries (partnership with the syndicate of nurseries’ owners in Lebanon), academic programs, extra-curricular activities and individualized therapies.

The approach and techniques adopted by S-miles are what makes it unique and innovative.

S-miles emphasize on the holistic development of each person including moral, intellectual, social, emotional, physical development and well‐being.

Special Miles is also dedicated towards increasing awareness among parents and society as a whole.

Services at Special Miles (S-miles) Center:
S-miles is an exclusive unique center in Lebanon and the MENA region that offers, research based therapeutic activities in relation with specific cases for mild to moderate special needs and learning difficulties / disabilities, targeting both leisure and intervention purposes simultaneously. It is fun and therapeutic at the same time.

S-miles established the 1st center in Beirut – Lebanon and the region that offers activities as therapies.

Therapies & Activities Enrolled at S-miles:
Therapies and Activities are goal oriented at S-miles where individualized plans combine cognitive thinking and physical movement to ensure a healthy body and mind. Further, one of the main approaches adopted at Special Miles aim to contribute to the development of social and emotional well-being of the child. Upon registration, children are advised to enroll in activities that research has proven to be beneficial for their challenges.

Further, S-miles’ groups include a maximum of 5 to 6 students per session to support individuals to be integrated socially within a group and at the same time benefit from the session. Finally, a 3 month plan (IP-individualized Plan) underlying specific objectives is developed to assess the development of the child.
