Steps

In honor of the 14th International LAU Theatre Festival, a group of students from the University of Sousse in Tunisia will be putting on a performance entitled “Steps.”

Synopsis:
Three individuals are crossing a strange valley with the imminent prospect of a flood. The valley, however, has a secret. A politician and a poet take opposing views regarding crossing the valley. A clapper loader announces the beginning of each scene as if proclaiming the advent of the flood. The spirit of the valley is embodied in the silent female surgeon who resolves the struggles with her effective silence.

The performance will take place at the Gulbenkian Theatre on LAU’s campus.
