Under the Patronage of The Royal Netherlands Embassy in Beirut, the Faculty of Architecture, Art and Design at Notre Dame University in collaboration with Solidere invites you to the World Press Photo Beirut Exhibition.

World Press Photo is a non-profit organization based in Amsterdam best known for the World Press Photo exhibition. This event was first held in 1955 and has since been held in 100 cities worldwide such as Berlin, London, New York, and Tokyo. It has been 10 years since the WPP was hosted in Lebanon.

Every year in February, the Press Photography Contest is held and judged by an international committee of professionals. The exhibitions bring together the year’s winning photos from each of the different categories in the contest, including General News, Contemporary Issues, Daily Life, Nature, Sports Action, Arts and Entertainment.

The mission of WPP is to encourage high professional standards in photojournalism and to promote a free and unrestricted exchange of information.
