On 26 October 2005, the United Nations adopted a resolution that calls for governments to mark the third Sunday in November each year as World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.
This is a day to remember those killed or seriously injured on Lebanese roads, often in avoidable collisions, and those left to deal with the sudden and unexpected loss of people they love. The day also provides an opportunity to remind governments and society of their responsibility to make roads safer.<\/p>\n
Kunhadi, under the patronage of the first lady Mrs. Wafaa Sleiman, has the pleasure to invite you to a Musical performance by Charbel Rouhana to be part of the global remembrance for victims of road traffic accidents, which will include a word by Kunhadi president and U.N. representative, and an award presented to the former Lebanese Minister of Interiors and Municipalities, Mr. Ziad Baroud, for his efforts on decreasing the number of road traffic crashes in Lebanon.
