7keeleh is part of the Taste Culture movement consisting of a series of events ranging from cultural food festivals, to spoken word and music event known as 7Keeleh, to the sounds of Africa and the Diasporas, mainly Latin and South America with an African\/Latin dance party.<\/p>\n

Originating in 2009, the concept behind Taste Culture was and still is to expose the Lebanese public to the rich cultural diversity of Lebanon by organizing various cultural events like film screenings, African\/Asian cuisine, photo exhibitions, installations and public discussions aimed at promoting dialogue on racism, gender, migrant workers, and human rights as a means of eliminating stereotypes and prejudice.<\/p>\n

In a short amount of time, and thanks to the massive support of the Taste Culture crew, the 7Keeleh series became a success and gained recognition as being one of the best platforms for poetry, spoken word and music events in town.<\/p>\n
