GLOVER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Join the crowd for a drink, while Mayaline hits the decks at the launch of Michael P. Glover\u2019s art exhibition, in a space and moment that defies normality.<\/p>\n<p>  Myli, (a.k.a) Mayaline Hajj, the front-woman from the band LUMI, takes to the turntables with a mix of electro-rock to suit every loony&#8217;s mood.<\/p>\n<p>  Michael P.Glover arouses a feeling of nostalgia and the good old days, so-to-speak. His work depicts the American dream, the suburbs, the cities, but in complex situations, with classic images of days gone by meshed with modern tragedy, and innocence with chaos.<\/p>\n<p>  There is a contrast of innocence in youth verses the anxiety of adulthood and also, psychological themes which hint at the darker side of the suburban family. Adults and Children are juxtaposed or morphed into a background of chaos, destruction, or ambiguous imagery. Glover carefully cuts and pastes images and spends hours upon end arranging them and building compositions.<\/p>\n<p>  Michael Paige Glover currently lives in Brooklyn. After an apprenticeship with Nall Hollis at the N.A.L.L Art Association, Glover studied with Italian Artist Andrea Spinelli in Florence Italy for 6 months. The artist received his MFA in Figurative Painting at the New York Academy of Art in 2001.
